Gelcoats

Our orthophthalic gelcoats are based on orthophthalic polyester resin systems formulated to provide excellent surface finish, high gloss, and good chemical and weather resistance. These gelcoats offer moderate heat distortion temperature (HDT) and good mechanical strength, making them suitable for a wide range of general-purpose composite applications including marine, automotive, and industrial parts. Our isophthalic gelcoats are formulated using isophthalic polyester resins, offering superior chemical resistance, enhanced durability, and improved heat distortion temperature compared to orthophthalic gelcoats. These gelcoats provide outstanding durability and blister resistance, making them ideal for demanding marine, chemical processing, and industrial composite applications. They cure to a hard, glossy finish with excellent adhesion to composite substrates, suitable for spray or brush application in high-performance mold and part finishes.

Our tooling gelcoats are specially formulated to provide high thermal stability, excellent dimensional stability, and a smooth, defect-free surface finish for composite molds. Designed to withstand repeated curing cycles, these gelcoats offer low shrinkage, good chemical resistance, and superior hardness to ensure long-lasting, precise tooling surfaces for RTM, vacuum infusion, and hand lay-up processes.
